Welcome. to Burchmore's, Wholesale to the public. Burchmore's has been bringing together buyers and sellers for more than 99 years. Starting in 1911 as JC Burchmore's, we were one of the first companies to let people across SA buy and sell a wide range of cars at auction, from budget runarounds to exotic imports. At our first auction we sold 10 cars, today we sell more than 50 000 vehicles a year in physical auctions and off the floor. Now part of BIDVest, we have an annual turnover of 1 Billion and are South Africa's largest vehicle remarketing company. Our business is to handle the sale of vehicles on behalf of one group of customers - our vendors - and sell to another group - our buyers. Most of our customers are businesses: fleet operators; manufacturers; finance and leasing houses; rental companies and national authorities. However, we don't just serve the trade: Burchmore's is a great place for anyone to buy or trade-in. Typically we have more than 2000 vehicles available at any time - the biggest selection in SA - from nearly new cars to salvage vehicles. For Buyers, our Wholesale to the public concept offers very competitive prices. Finance and warranties are also available. Burchmore's, your one-stop wholesale shopWelcome to Burchmore's, your one-stop megastore, where the immense selection makes it easy to find your perfect set of wheels at wholesale prices.Burchmore's was established in 1911, and today it is the largest vehicle auctioneering company in South Africa. We are a subsidiary of Bid Auto, a division of Bidvest, which gives any prospective buyer or seller peace of mind. Since being acquired by McCarthy Motor Holdings in 1988, Burchmore's have auctioned in excess of 900 000 vehicles. We have a huge selection of vehicles at our branches countrywide. And so whether you would like to bid on auction or buy direct off the floor, we have a vehicle to suit your specific requirements. The thousands of vehicles on auction are sourced from the banks (repossessions) and are also the result of fleet disposals or part exchanges (trade-ins) by companies, national and local authorities, as well as manufacturers and distributors of vehicles, including national dealer groups. They all use our services to make their lives easier. We act as their agent and use our skill and expertise to bring the buyer and seller together, guaranteeing maximum protection to both. Each auction centre holds two auctions sales per week and all three branches (in Sandton, Cape Town and Durban) are open seven days a week. Unique to Burchmore's:Burchmore's are the only auction centre with a drive through auction facility; every vehicle is driven through the podium for your convince. A drive through auction not only goes a lot faster and is a lot more comfortable but also allows the prospective buyer to observe the vehicle driving and hear the running engine.Due to the vast amount of vehicles at all three of our stores, we created an internet cafe facility. This allows for our clients to search for a particular vehicle on site in the relaxing setting of a cafe and enjoy the free coffee while searching the web for what we have on offer. All our centres are open seven days a week and our auctions are open to the public for viewing. Saturdays are our busiest trading days and we suggest if you can't get off work during the week, why not pop into your closest branch one Saturday morning? Burchmore's are unique in that we not only have auction sales but also sell off the floor! Our off the floor sales department has over 2000 cars on offer and trade-ins are welcome. Being part of McCarthy, we are able to offer our clients a wide range of financial and insurance products which are backed by McCarthy's. We have a range of great affordable products available on offer. (See - Finance & Warranties) Burchmore's is Africa's sole license holder of British Car Auctions, Europe's No.1 vehicle remarketing company. Burchmore's are a member of the South African Institute of Auctioneers. (S.A.I.A.)
